parade fun!

Lucy lover her parades, so when Grandma Allen invited us to the one up the street from her house we jumped at the chance. It was a long one! Lucy likes the bad, horses, and balloons of course. she was very interested in pretty much everything and seemed to have a longer attention span than either Patrick or I. She patiently sat on the curb in awe of the spectacle traveling by for an hour and a half.

round and round

after mother's day we all got sick. it was not food poisoning, but anyone who picked Lucy up got sick. I think we will now remember it as the mother's day vomit fest. yeah, it was bad. We even had to take Lucy to the hospital and doctors a few times for dehydration. nothing was staying don! At one point it was like this, but without the ipecac....
anyway, we were pretty much on the mend and went to Clown Town (a festival) in Andover, MA. What do you do with a toddler after she's been sick all week? why take her on a carousel of course! needless to say she didn't care for it much. she was a cutie pie though!

Lilacs!!!!!

The Arboretum does a Lilac festival every mothers day. we never get to go because of one thing or another but this year Lucy and I made it the day before with a meet up. there was a little rain in the beginning but it quickly cleared up and made the lilacs that much more fragrant! I found out that there are 218 different varieties of them! they display 52 of them. Lucy mostly walked around ripping them to shreds and jumping in puddles.

spring has sprung

Spring has come and pushed up all the beautiful flowers in our front garden. I am trying to train Lucy to pick only the weeds but it's not working out as well as I had first hoped. either way, she loves walking around and looking at them all. a few petals and flower heads just show love anyway, right?
