dirt dirt dirt

one of the big reasons why it took so long for me to update this blog is because while Lucy would sleep, or during me free time, I was busy digging dirt, dirt, and more dirt.

see, what was supposed to be a little project quickly turned into a big mess. I wanted to tear up the patios in our back yard. it was old, oversized, and in a bad place. I was going to add dirt and grass to that area and be happy. well, I had WAY too much dirt delivered. the truck couldn't make it to the back yard, so it was dumped in my driveway. I spent weeks digging, loading and unloading the wheelbarrow, spreading it over the patio. I has a gross amount of dirt so I decided I'd also start leveling the back yard. BY HAND (yes, a little crazy) I have done a lot of work and I still have 20+ yards sitting in my driveway. what a mess! anyway, Lucy calls it the "wow!" pile.
